Nebula to Formally Adopt ANSI Lumen Specification and Update Its Cosmos Projector Line.

February 22, 2023 - For the past year, Nebula has been engaged in discussions with Epson regarding the measurement and marketing of projector lumens. Today, Nebula is excited to announce that it has officially adopted the ANSI Lumen specification (ANSI IT7.228-1997) for its line of Cosmos Projectors.
Nebula has re-tested its Nebula Cosmos line of projectors using the ANSI Lumen specification, looking at the average values of multiple projector tests of mass production units, and will update the stated brightness of the projectors as follows:
    • Nebula Cosmos D2140 will be updated to 810 ANSI Lumens
    • Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K D2350 will be updated to 1840 ANSI Lumens
    • Nebula Cosmos Laser D2341 will be updated to 1840 ANSI Lumens
The Nebula team is working to update its product listings, marketing materials, and where applicable, packaging. Additionally, it will apply the ANSI Lumen specification for all future projectors launched by Nebula.

"We apologize for any inconvenience these changes might cause. However, our decision to formally transition to the ANSI Lumen specification is aimed at providing customers with increased confidence that our projectors have undergone rigorous testing and rating using a recognized industry standard."
